Normally im not really a fan of the Brits , but i thought this year i’d watch and see what all the fuss is about. Kind of glad i watched it now as i actually enjoyed it, especially watching performances from Rihanna, Bruno Mars and Adele.
But you guys know theres no way i could let the Brits fade away without commenting on who wore what. if you watched it like myself then u’ll know there were plenty of style hits and maybe too many style misses (especially the men sorry to say.)
STYLE HITS : LADIES!!!!!!!
1.RIHANNA
Rihanna clearly knows how to work and style for the red carpet, as she was on my Grammy best dressed list also. Rocking this glitzy Givenchy number , theres no denying how good she looks, however i really wish she would have left her leather washing up gloves at home. Ri-Ri gets an 8.5/10 .
2. LANA DEL REY
To be really honest i had no clue who this girl was until i saw her get up to collect her award and saw her dress (i know im not the only one ). I think she looked stunning in this scarlet Vivienne Westwood gown, if no one knew who she was prior they’ll definately know who she is now. Style rating 9/10
3. KYLIE
Kylie!!!! im not gonna lie and say im her biggest fan musically , but when it comes to her fashion sense i am . She always looks glamorous and exudes a special kind of sophistication , especially with this beautiful Greek -esque Yves Saint Laurent dress. Red carpet pro and gets a style rating of 9/10 .
4.PIXIE LOTT
See normally when celebs wear black to award ceremonies it annoys me , however i think Pixie looks lovely in this Dolce & Gabbana gown. She looks elegant and classy without the risk of looking to old and the lace detailing on the dress is amazing so im giving Pixie a style rating of 9.5/10 (knocking off a 0.5 simply because its black.)
Quirky Style Award: LITTLE MIX
I know probably several of you would disagree, but i think these girls are sweet. With very quirky styling and i love how they dress for their age group and have a strong sense of personal style, as a group and individually. I think they look good , however leigh-annes dress on the right is a little to 80’s throw back for me .
STYLE MISSES: LADIES
1. CHER LLOYD
I really didn’t wanna put her on here but she kind of left me no choice, i don’t get the style choice. I know that Cher’s a bit of a style chameleon but really though the whole Abba jumpsuit with Kat moon’s shoes mix really isn’t working for me. Her hair and make up looks nice though. Style rating 4/10.
2. CHRISTINA PERRI
Again im not going to lie and say I know who this lady is because I actually don’t know who she is ,but she stood out to me and not for a good reasons. Sometimes like Lana Del Rey’s gown, wearing red can work in your favor and get you noticed. However with Christina Perri’s gown she stands out for all the wrong reasons, the bottom half of this sheer gown is lovely. However the overly sheer top half leaves little to the imagination, with christmas tinsel and payng some sort of homage to her multiple tattoos. Style rating 2/10.
3. Alexandra Burke
I wont pull apart Alexandra’s outfit because its actually not that bad, minus the roman warrior detailing on the top of the gorgeous dress. I kept having the urge to jump through the telly and hack the dodgy detailing off. it just bothers me so for this outfit style rating 5/10 .
4. SARA COX
One of my biggeset pet hates is dresses that have absolutely NO SHAPE! (unless its a 60’s style t-shirt dress). So i really don’t understand why a shapeless dress with a leopard print made it to the red carpet. I really would have less to say if she added a waist belt , but i guess Sara prefers to look like a block . confused.com . Style rating 3/10.
YAWN STYLE AWARD: EMELI SANDE
I love Emeli ‘s voice and trust me im one of the first to say she has talent, and very much deserved her Critics choice award. However she gets the yawn style award from me simply because she looked boring. Wearing black (pet hate for award shows) and considering there is so much hype and attention surrounding her i was disappointed that her outfit didn’t have the wow factor. All for Simplicity and that but please sparkles?, glitter? something? Style rating :4/10.
STYLE HITS : THE GUYS!!!!!!!!
1.ONE DIRECTION
Many of you may disagree but i thought they looked pretty good , putting some of the older guys to shame . I like how they still look young and not like dwarfed versions of Simon Cowell .The boys get a style rating of 8/10.
2. OLLY MURS
I wernt a fan of his performance on the night and that goes for the dodgy fake tan as well. Though i like Olly’s outfit for the red carpet , its when guys make an effort and for him its obviously paid off .(loving the spotty tie too) style rating :8/10.
4. will.i.am
I love his outfit , simply because will.i.am takes risks and has strong personal style. Hes gone for a dressy casual look with the blazer and red shirt underneath and dickie bow tie. Im also loving the fact that hes pictured wearing red Adidas trainers to match. style rating 9/10.
4. Professor Green
Firstly though i didn’t know Pro Green was dating Millie from MIC (Made in Chelsea if any of you watch it )So that shocked me. Secondly why does he look so serious crack a smile please, did the two of them just have a lovers tiff or something? Any way i like how slick his suit is despite the miserable face expression , i think he wears it very well a very clean cut James Bond type tailoring. Style rating 8/10.
STYLE SWEETIE: BRUNO MARS
This guys has swagger for days and can perform the hell out of a song , anyone who saw me tweeting yesterday knows how much i adore this guy. Picking up a Brit for International Male Solo Artist, and and amazing performance, its no doubt he would have the style swag to match 10/10 from me .

Im not being mean but if any of you guys can tell me which event JLS are attending because im more than confused.com They look odd and i cant tell whether they’re taking a trip back to the 80’s? ,a wedding?, a dance battle ? school? i dunno you tell me . No style rating just a confused face.
STYLE ANNOYANCE: BLUR
When these guys came on to perform is where i switched channels , not my kind of music. No offense to those that like them, they won outstanding contribution to music .again no comment. But the thing that annoys me is that if you know your gonna win that big of an award DRESS UP FOR THE OCCASION ! Its not that hard. I know the disheveled look is meant to be ‘rock n roll’ but at least make an effort . (lets not forget about the guy on the left who seems to be on his phone while the picture gets taken) not one for a fashion moment ? guess not .
